About GeneaHub

Connecting stories, building community

Our Mission

GeneaHub was created to democratize genealogical research. Not all of us can travel to remote archives, but together we can help each other. Non-profit, by and for the Spanish-speaking genealogical community.

Traditional genealogical research requires costly trips to archives scattered throughout the country. Many researchers have to give up consulting essential documents simply because the archive is too far away.

GeneaHub changes this. We connect those who need documents with volunteers who plan to visit those archives. It's collaborative genealogy in its purest form: mutual aid, solidarity, community.

Our Values

Solidarity

We help without expecting anything in return. The genealogy community supports each other.

Community

We build together. Each user adds value and strengthens the network.

Accessibility

Free. No financial barriers to researching your family history.

Transparency

Transparent management. The community knows how everything works.

How it started

GeneaHub is a beta project created to democratize access to historical archives.

The idea is simple: if someone is going to visit an archive, why not help other researchers by taking advantage of that visit?,

We are building a collaborative community based on mutual aid and solidarity.

If you believe in collaborative genealogy, join us in growing this community.

Founding Collaborators

The first 18 users who responded to the call to help the Spanish genealogical community

Their early commitment and solidarity made the launch of GeneaHub possible. They are pioneers in Spanish-speaking collaborative genealogy, demonstrating that mutual aid and community are the foundation of this project.
